About ICCHS

Established in 2016, the International Centre for Comparative Historical Research (ICCHS) is a research centre of the Departments of Art History and History at the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Arts. The centre brings together researchers exploring pre-modern social, economic, cultural, and artistic connections or exchanges in the area of the Venetian Republic (both the Domini di Terraferma and the Stato da Màr), the Holy Roman Empire (particularly the Habsburg Erlablande, i.e. hereditary lands), Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire.
